General Information

 

1. When and where will the convocation be held?

The convocation will take place June 23 - 27, 2025 at Charlotte, North Carolina.

2. What is the theme of this year’s convocation?

The theme is “If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?" inspired by Psalms 11:3,7.

 

3. Who can attend the convocation?

The convocation is open to all members, friends, and family. Everyone is welcome!

 

4. Is registration required?

COGATH Members are asked to pay the registration and membership fees as requested.

There are certain perks to paying the registration fee; therefore, non-COGATH members are encouraged to register.

 

5. What is the dress code / color for each service?

This information will be provided once confirmed.  It is not required but is being shared for your convenience.

Schedule and Activities

 

6. What is the daily schedule?

A detailed itinerary will be provided at a later date, but sessions generally include early morning prayer, morning worship services, seminars, luncheons, and evening services.

 

7. Are there any special services or guest speakers?

TBA

 

8. Will there be activities for children and youth?

Yes, children's church will be open daily and other activities are still being planned.

9. Will meals be provided?

Breakfast will be included with registration and luncheons will be scheduled.  Additional payment will be required to attend auxiliary luncheons.  More information will be provided once completed.

 

10. Are there evening programs or special events?

As in the past, we will have our (formal) Presider's Banquet on Friday afternoon.

Travel and Accommodations

 

11. Is transportation available to/from the airport?

Yes, the hotel does offer free airport transportation.

 

12. Are hotel accommodations available?

Yes, we have reserved rooms at Hilton Charlotte Airport, located at 2800 Coliseum Centre Drive, Charlotte, NC 28217) for a discounted rate of !84/night (includes taxes and fees). Please click here to reserve your room.

13.  Do the rooms have mircowaves and refrigerators?

Although the Hilton is and all suites hotel, microwaves are not included in the rooms but every room has a refrigerator.

 

14. Will parking be available at the hotel?

Parking is available at the hotel with a required fee of $5 / day.  You will be charged the full amount for the week when you check in.

Finances and Donations

​

15. Are donations accepted during the convocation?

Yes, offerings will be collected during [specific sessions]. You can also give online at [website link].

16. Will vendors be setup during the convocation?

Yes, vendors are encouraged to signup early once the information is provided. There will be a fee that must be paid in advance to secure your table.

Special Requests and Needs

 

17. How do I request special accommodations (e.g., accessibility needs)?

This accommodation can be requested on the hotel registration form.

18. Can I volunteer to help during the convocation?

Yes! We’re always looking for volunteers. A link will be provided at a later date to signup.

​

19. What should I do if I have dietary restrictions?

We try to select menu items to accommodate dietary restrictions.

​

20. Are prayer services or altar calls included in the schedule?

Absolutely!  We will also have a scheduled date/time for baptisms.

21. Will there be a livestream for those who can’t attend in person?

Yes, you can watch online via our Facebook page or Youtube channel.  Links to those

22. Is there a convocation souvenir or merchandise available?

Yes, some items will be given with the registration bags.

23. How do I contact the organizer for more information?
